Solar PV

We design and install solar systems from roof survey and module layout to mounting, DC/AC engineering, protection, grid connection and monitoring.

Solar panels on a South Tyrolean roof

Direct answer

A reliable PV system starts with consumption, roof geometry and grid conditions—not simply a module count. Voltalps coordinates every component for production, safety and maintainability.

01

Survey and potential

We document roof planes, orientation, shading, roof covering, meter board and cable routes. This provides a realistic basis for yield, power and feasibility.

  • Usable area and clearances
  • Seasonal shade and obstacles
  • Electrical distribution and connection
02

Electrical design

Strings, inverter, cable sizes, surge protection, isolators and AC protection are coordinated with the installation and the site.

  • Module–inverter compatibility
  • DC and AC protection
  • Provision for storage and EV charging
03

Careful installation

The mounting system is matched to the roof and expected loads. Protected cable routes, labels and accessible equipment make servicing easier.

  • Roof-specific fixing
  • Protected, orderly cabling
  • Photographic documentation
04

Commissioning

We test the electrical installation, configure monitoring and explain normal operation. Initial readings provide a baseline for optimisation.

  • Testing and records
  • Monitoring access
  • Self-consumption settings

Project process

From first idea to stable operation.

  1. 01Analyse consumption and goals
  2. 02Survey roof and electrical system
  3. 03Compare options and issue proposal
  4. 04Install, test and hand over

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does 1 kWp produce in South Tyrol?+

We use roughly 1,100 kWh per kWp and year for a first estimate. Roof, orientation, shading, temperature and system losses determine the actual yield.

Do I always need a battery?+

No. Storage is useful when it shifts genuine daytime surplus into hours with demand and its capacity and power suit the load profile.

Do you handle the grid connection?+

The exact applications and interfaces included are stated in the proposal. Grid-operator requirements and timelines remain external factors.

Your energy system starts with a clear plan.

For an initial assessment, send the address, annual consumption and photos of the roof, meter board and plant room.
